Returns & Exchanges Policy

At My Diabetics World, we are committed to providing high-quality medical equipment, supplies, and over-the-counter (OTC) products. Due to the nature of these items, our return policy is designed to ensure customer safety, product integrity, and regulatory compliance.

 

Return Eligibility

We accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Item is unused, unopened, and in original packaging
  • Return is requested within 14 days of purchase
  • Proof of purchase is provided

All returns require prior authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted. Restocking fee up to 30% of the purchased item price may be applied.

 

Non-Returnable Items

For health and safety reasons, the following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Opened or used medical equipment
  • Items intended for personal or hygienic use
  • Over-the-counter (OTC) medications
  • Sterile products once opened
  • Hygiene and disposable items (e.g., pads, gloves if opened)
  • Any item not in its original condition

These restrictions help ensure the safety and well-being of all customers.

 

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Notify us within 72 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos and a description of the issue

Eligible items may be:

  • Replaced at no cost, or
  • Refunded to the original payment method

 

Manufacturer Warranty

Certain products may be covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. In these cases, customers may be directed to the manufacturer for repair or replacement support.

 

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Issued to the original payment method
  • Processed within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval

Please note:

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • A restocking fee (if applicable) may be deducted from the refund

 

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item)
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for lost returns

 

Return Authorization

All returns must be approved in advance. To request a return:

  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. Wait for return authorization and instructions

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.

 

Policy Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse returns that do not meet the above conditions
  • Limit or deny returns in cases of suspected misuse or abuse of the policy

Medicare & Insurance-Billed Items (Important)

For items billed to Medicare or other insurance:

  • Once an item has been delivered and accepted, it is generally not eligible for return or refund
  • This is due to:
    • CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) billing regulations
    • Infection control and safety standards
    • Restrictions on reselling medical equipment

 

Medicare Patient Responsibility & ABN

If a patient signs an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN):

  • The patient agrees to be financially responsible if Medicare denies the claim
  • Items provided under a valid ABN are non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered

 

Important Notice

By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to this Returns & Exchanges Policy and that certain medical equipment and supplies, including items billed to Medicare or insurance, may not be eligible for return once delivered due to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
